Anyone have any idea what could cause this? Whenever I hit big bumps or just hit a small one the wrong way I lose my front speakers.

However, when this happens I can turn up the volume about 3/4 of the way up and they will turn back on. Then I can back down the volume to normal levels with all speakers working(until another bump comes along)

Sounds like the typical Bose amp issues...

Sounds like the potentiometer of the deck is really dirty (internally). If this were an "amps issue" as one person said, two of them would not go out together simultaneously. If this was a relay issue, then all 4 would go out. (there is a relay that turns all 4 on).Check the fader too. It may also be dirty. If you know how, you can take the deck out and clean both. Also, try wiggling and turning all audio control knobs several times and see if that makes a diference too.BTW, I run a business called zmaxsystems and work primarily on Z32's, NSX, RX7's, etc. with Bose systems, however have sold a few pieces here and there for J30's, Q's, etc. since the Bose systems are nearly identical when compared by year models. But as a rule, the Q's Bose systems are not as problematic due to the much easier life they see, and the fact that most owners leave their system alone, while 85% of the sports cars with Bose systems will be swapped out.Anyway, I should have my info page back up soon and will try to remember to come back here and place a link. The info is nearly parallel with all early 90, late 80's Bose systems. Also, if you have more questions, let me know and I will see if I can help.
