Well, I think there's a few questions

- Do you have the factory amplified speakers?- (If so) Do you plan on adding an amp for the new speakers?- Do you have any woodworking skills?- Factory HU?

Okay, I'll just say check your local Best Buy/Circuit City/etc and look for "open box" 4x6 speakers (6.5's if you want/can make your own adapters). I think Pioneer has a very good entry level speaker.

I think the answers to my questions may mean you have alot of decisions to make.

I do have the factory amps. I'm still new to the whole audio stuff. I just want speakers right now that will sound good, then I'll move on to the bigger stuff at a later time. Budget would probably be around the $100-150 range I guess.

Rex: When you have seperate tweeters like in his car and 94+ Q45s, do you also have tweeters with the speakers in the doors?

Meaning, if you have tweeters in the A-pillars, do/should you also have 2- or 3-way speakers in the doors?

Or, is it better to use a crossover network and only send the mid/low frequencies to the door speakers?

PMQ, I think it would depend on what you want to accomplish.

IMHO, I would do seperates or as close to them as possible. Meaning, I would either look for a mid driver or accept a 2-way with good low end and cross over the highs out of it.

One of the best systems I ever had consisted of 5 speakers, ranging from 10mm to 15" .

How is the 94+ Q45 system setup? Are the the high frequencies crossed over to the tweeters? or are the high frequencies played by both the indoor speakers and the tweeters?

Good suggestion. I would especially look for a mid driver (not 2-way) if the high frequencies were going to be sent to the tweeters only.

Not sure, as I've never pulled the the door panel, but my understanding is the in door amp sends mid to door speaker and highs to the A-pillar tweeters.
