My friend just recently bought a 95 s14 without a radio and the rear speakers not hooked up but it has aftermarket front speakers hooked up. He bought an OEM radio thats in working condition but when he turned on his car he couldnt hear anything. When i took it apart it looks like a plug is missing on the back of the radio. I dont know I need some tips on this. And if you had the same problem and hav pictures on how to fix it let me know. I did research and i only found things on s13's

is it an SE?

if it is you might have to do a front speaker amp bypass.the front speekers have a seperate amp that powers them and usually it goes bad. the amp is located under the rear dash between the speekers.if you open the trunk you can see it.

i know there is a write up on here some whare.

hope this helps. good luck

The plug that you are missing has the rear speakers and the turn on wire for the amplifier. If you can't find that plug buried in the dash, you'll either have to run a new wire to turn on the amp or bypass it all together.

The fsm has info in for the audio starting on page 118 of the electrical section
