Current Setup:AVIC F700BT which replaced my BOSE headunitBOSE Speakers still in place and being usedBOSE Amp still in place and being used to power BOSE speakers (obviously)Aftermarket Sub/Amp linked into my F700BT for more bass

Recently, I blew the front BOSE speaker in my system. So I figure its time to just replace it all because i'm sick and tired of dealing with BOSE.

Desired Setup:Avic 700BTSub/Amp liked into my F700BT for more bassAftermarket speakers and amp to REPLACE MY BOSE

Was looking into a few boston acoustic models, looking to spend a total of about $300 on a set of speakers for the front with an amp. any suggestions from the pros? what is a good bang for my buck in the $300 range??

I'll have to get back to you. Let me look into some speaker options in that price range.

With an aftermarket head unit, it is definitely best to scrap the Bose amp/speakers and go completely aftermarket. It will end up sounding a ton better. It gets expensive, but I think you'll be happy when you're done!

i would not pesonaly go with the infinitys for anything. they are not clean. personally, i would either go with o2Audio or CDT for your interior speakers, along with an o2 amp for the best efficiency. as for sub, there are so many you can go with. do you want extreme bass or something that sounds good for in car use? let me know, i can design a box for you as well.

Boston's the shiz yo, but I dun think you're going to find any good one's around the $300 range. I run Alpine type-R's 6.5 all the way around. my front components were only about $140 on sale, and my MRP-F300 was only about $130 on sale. I agree with the negative on the Infinity models, the reference series is far too harsh... but to each ear its own.

...And remember kids, SQ>SPL any day
