Front Sonar Sensors?

Hey all,
I just purchased a 2008 Infiniti QX56 4WD. I love the car. From everything I've read, the front and rear sonar parking sensors come standard on the 08's. My question is, how do you use the front ones? Or rather, how/when to they kick on? I've never heard them activate on the front, even when parking close to a wall, only the rear ones. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Can anyone at least confirm that front sonar was indeed standard on the 08's?

I am fairly certain the 2008 QX56 had the front sonar on them as a standard feature. You would see them on the front bumper. They would beep when you get close to something, and the beeping is a different pitch then when the rear sensor are beeping. Check your front bumper for the sensors, if they are there, then they might not be working, I would first check your fuses.

Thank you for the replies. There are no "circles" on the front bumper like the rear, and I've confirmed that my vehicle is indeed a 2008 via both VIN, inside drivers door and dealer (plus it has the heated steering wheel.) The dealer unfortunately did not know the answer to my question, so I've sent an email to infiniti of america to get an official answer.

According to http://www.infinitinews.com, under the technical specifications for the 2008 QX56, it only comes with the sonar proximity sensors if your particlar vehicle has the optional Intelligent Cruise Control package.

AHHHH, I was just going to say I think it was part of the Tech pkg with the I-Cruise, I remember because I had a 2004 QX56 and that was packaged the same way.
