My skid plate finally caught on something and is now hanging low under the front bumper. Looking under, the mounting holes under the bumper has been ripped off due to the plastic being pushed back, and so now at least 3 in the front are open ended. Anyone know of any fasteners or technique that I can use to put the plastic shield back up flush under the bumper? I was ultimately going to go and replace with TBW, but now without mounting holes under the bumper, not sure how that would get secured.

Thanks in advance.

mac, I think a body shop worth it's Bondo , could pop-rivet it back on w/ fender washers for better "hold" for like $ 50 or less ,no? :yesnod But really for any of us to give a good answer , a picture of the situation would help to actually "picture it".
Tip= "Fender washers" I think are "key" here.

Let me get some pics. I tried to look at ubolts that are going sideways instead of front to back, and I didn't see any. Still racking my head for a way to do it.

I have used large washers to sandwich the heck out of the bumper cover material in the same location.
It might hold, but isn't very durable long term.

This other method will mess with the ease of mounting your TBW cover, but it works well with plastic. Move a couple of inches over and make other holes, preferably using a drill so it doesn't get a cut to propagate into a crack.

I think I'm going to have to do some custom holes in the TBW, and as you noted, not too close to avoid further cracks.

Any experience on front splitters? Maybe something to add to the aesthetics and function and have a more solid connectors? Or do they use the same stinking holes?

I have no personal experience mountain a front splitter on these cars, but my guess would be they use the same holes as I dont see any other part they could connect to in that area of the car.

That's what I am gathering. Though there are other solid points under there.
