Can the front pillars be removed without taking out the dashboard? Or which FS manual could I look in to find out?

Are you referring to the interior "a" pillar trim? If so, they are easily removable without taking the dash out.

Yes I believe so. The interior where the front window vent is. Where and how do I pull it loos? I don't want to pop any tabs or plugs. I checked the fsm and didn't find it. And are air bags in there, can I disturb them in any way?

I pulled the weatherstripping loose to expose the edge of the trim. Starting at the top of the exposed edge, applied pressure towards the inside of the car, and popped it loose. Once it is at about a 60 degree angle, then pull up towards the headliner to release the retainers that hold it to the dashboard. The airbags are bolted to the "a" pillar itself, so you will not be disturbing them.

Thanks, that was easy enough, didn't do it all the way, just popped it out a little to see how it's done. Now one more question, the roof liner (if its called that), any idea how to get that down? I just need to get .5" gap down by the windshield, not the whole thing, to slide a wire in.

No need to remove the headliner; there is more than enough room to neatly tuck a wire up under the front lip. Be careful not to bend it too much, as it will distort.

Yeah, I see there is enough space to get something in, I was just concerned how well it would stay there...how far back I could push it. Ok cool, ill see what happens, thanks.

A few little tabs of masking tape will secure it to the underside of the headliner, and keep it in its place.
