Front passenger window rattles

Hey Guys, My 2005 pathfinder was broken into last year and I went to nissan to have the oem windows installed, The new windows rattles and I went to nissan twice and they could not find anything wrong with it. They put some insulation tape on it and the rattle is not as bad anymore but it's not quiet as it used to be.

Do I need to live with it? Is there anything that can be done?

Here are potential causes for door squeaks and rattles:

DOORS
Pay attention to the:
1. Finisher and inner panel making a slapping noise
2. Inside handle escutcheon to door finisher
3. Wiring harnesses tapping
4. Door striker out of alignment causing a popping noise on starts and stops
Tapping or moving the components or pressing on them while driving to duplicate the conditions can isolate
many of these incidents. You can usually insulate the areas with felt cloth tape or insulator foam blocks from
the NISSAN Squeak and Rattle Kit (J-43980) to repair the noise.

I noticed it only rattles when the window is half way up, it does not rattle when all the way down or closed. What is the problem with it?

My own window rattles when it's halfway up too. I'm not sure if there's much that can be done about it.

Ok, It wasn't rattling before it was replaced. The dealer put the same oem window. Oh well I hope the thief die a horrible death.

You could continue to complain to the dealer, ask for a different tech to look at it or talk to another service adviser. Ask them to look for TSBs on the issue - there's probably none for something this minor, but you never know.
