When i am on the highway 120+kph (75+mph) I get a wind noise from the right passenger side by the base of the windshield. I have tried wipers on/off to see if they were causing it. I have pushed on the glove box, speaker covers and dash. Nothing.

any ideas? anyone else getting/had this?

I recently noticed this exact same thing. I have no clue what the source is and it drives me nuts. It's not the windows, wipers, moon roof, vents, sun visor, glove box or speaker/radio. I think my windshield wasn't sealed properly or perhaps the seal has cracked somewhere because of the transition to the cold weather. I'm going to the dealer for service anyway so I plan on mentioning it at that time. The only problem is that I experience it at 70+mph too but the speed limit is 65 so I doubt that they will be able to replicate the conditions to hear it.

I have the same exact thing....where do you live? Because mine only does it when its cold outside. I am assuming the seals between the dash and the windshield are not tight and some air is squeaking in making that maracas rattling noise. Last year I took it to the dealer and they did nothing about it. Said they didnt notice anything "out of the ordinary."

Dealership couldn't replicate the noise at low speeds. They didn't want to bring the car onto the highway because it was beginning of rush hour. If I want to leave the car overnight or bring the car back during the day they will try to figure it out when there's less traffic. I haven't decided yet if I am willing to let them diagnose this knowing that they will take it out on the road at high speed without me there. If I can get time off of work though I'll definitely go back and see if we can pinpoint it.

Did anyone ever have this fixed? Mine does the same thing, only when the temp is like under 40* F. The dealer spent a day trying to analyze it last spring and ultimately they called it regular wind noise, which it is not. I only have one more winter under warranty, so if somebody found a solution, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks,Don

THe dealer went with me and acknowledged the noise, they suspected it was the hood vibrating, there was also some plastic trim around the window seals, they tried to secure that as well. In the summer the windows are open so I can't hear it anymore.. but they didnt fix it.

It's the windshield cowling. It doesn't line up properly. If you take it to the dealership they can order it new under warranty. Lots of people have had this issue.

Do you know if it is the cowling below the windshield wipers, in the bottom corners, or the sides of the windshield? Or does the windshield need to be removed? If there's any way I can fix or replace it myself, I'd rather do that...

Thanks for the info,Don

two suggestions, i get similar noises at times

1) if you open up the hood, the piece of foam/plastic right under the hood seems pretty loose. If you put pressure on it with your hand, it makes a rattling noise....never really confirmed if its the same noise

2) The back seat cup holders, that whole back inner panel is 1 big piece which rattles for sure. Maybe thats the noise.

It's not a rattle or anything, it sounds like an air leak. I saw a few posts describing it as radio speaker noise, but it can be heard when the radio is off. For me though, this is only an issue when it's cold, like below 35 or 40 F.

Yep, it just started for me also when the cooler weather hit. I have had my 2009 coupe since June and this windshield noise on the driver's side lower corner just started a month ago. It is fine until I hit 120 KPH and then it sounds like radio static...called dealer and he says no one else had complained about it...

I've recently just noticed this as well...Im not sure its the same thing but when i hit almost exactly 80mph, i hear a rattling noise from the passenger side. I dont think its wind, at least in my car it sounds like something is loose like the door panel or something.
