Help! Front Passenger Door Cannot Be Open Inside or Outside on 2010 EX35 Journey

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm checking to see if anyone has had any problems with their door actuators and assembly? Mine is currently stuck and cannot be open from the inside or outside.

I saw that there are third part actuator kits available too and if anyone happened to have done that in cased their doors start to fail? The main problem for the dealer shop to avoid replacing the whole door at the body shop. I'm expecting it'll cost an arm and a leg at the dealers and so far my only option is to have the dealer handle it and proposing to take my vehicle in for the day with their Master Technician and feeling confident he can gain access to the door.

I thought maybe I may fall under this case too..

I am hoping there is a similar way to release the door like this... but I'm trying to get familiar with the service manual:

I'm enjoy the vehicle so much....just a bummer that all of sudden this has happened! :frown:

Looks like the dealer got the door open and they are looking to replace the actuator.

I guess I'm lucky that to have gotten the used warranty that covers it!

yes you were lucky cause I spent 3 whole days while opening the door. In my case it was just a metal wire. Outside was cold and somehow the wire got stuck. Was little bit rusty but WD40 did it's job.

Just to mention, door were closed and and I spent 2 days opening the door panel squeezing between steering wheel/sit. Oh, it was tough, but somehow could spray WD40 to the rusty wire and after 30min door got opened.
