Car: 2004 Infiniti G35x AWD

I removed the wheel, dropped the inner fender and took out the part that holds the park light/running light. Put in a new bulb, turned the lights on and it still doesnt light. Anyone have any reccomendations what I should check next. Im due to get this car inspected monday and I have to get this bulb burning.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.Dan
