Hi everyone,
I jus got a second hand nissan altima coupe se 3.5 standard and I got it about 8 months ago. It has 75000 miles and I jus changed the lower pully and the serpentine belt on it about a week age because it was wore out. I jus drove the car from work yesterday and then the front of my car started to shake really bad. It happens when in 3rd gear and up but only when I step on the gas. If I let go of the gas or in neutral the shaking stops. It gets really bad going up hills and I cant accelerate at all past 35 without it shaking really bad. I looked at my axels and my inner cv boot is torn and leaking. I thought it might be my wheels wasnt balanced so I went to midas and got it balanced. It still has the same problem. I started to listen to the shaking and there is like a double thump noise from the passenger side of the engine. Could it be a spark plug problem? But it dosent make any noise when im at idle so I wasnt sure. If anyone can give me their thoughts or some advice to check things so I can narrow down the problems. I kinda think its my cv axel. Thanks.

i would do an engine tune up just to make sure it wasn't the spark plugs. it could be some kind of sensor starting to go bad and if thats the case the engine could stall on you eventually

Did it end up being the motor mounts?
