I was given a free brand new front 1996 O2 sensor. I have a 1995 s14, in need of a new front O2 sensor. Would it possible to adapt my harness to this 2 wire sensor?

The 1995 harness comes with only one visible wire. But if you cut it and look inside, the signal wire is in the center, and the ground is wrapped around it, right?

So my theory would be, if I take the 1996 O2 sensor’s black wire (ground) and connect it to the ground wire (harness side), then connect the white wire (O2 side) to the center wire (harness side), do you guys think this would work?

that wire is for signal in the 1 wire. The stuff around it is shielding.

buy an o2 for your specific engine, not some "uh, I think I got it to work" and be down alot more than the $20 for the new o2 when you complain with another thread of how your mileage sucks.
