Still on the market for the car (click) but already looking for parts for the mods I'm planing to do to a truck.

Looked everywhere :gotme . Ebay, googled all major stores that are selling trailer accessories. Can't find a front mounting hitch receiver for path/qx4 01-03. Planing on installing a winch and heavy duty fishing poles rack. The only way to install it is to have a hitch receiver because I'm not going to spend $1000+ on one of those big heavy bumpers.

Can't find it anywhere. Is there a chance to find it (NEW) for under $300? If so, where

THANKS!!!

I think your going to have to fab up something with some steel an a welder. That would be your best bet and probably cheapest too.

Yeah I was thinking about it myself after long searches ended up with no luck. The problem is that I don't have a garage for this kind of stuff... I mean my car is parked in a garage but it's an apartment building and I don't think my landlord would approve welding :gapteeth:

A good hitch place should be able to do it. Eyers hitch center in San Jose did a rear hitch for my 'vette and also a removeable
tongue on my boat trailer. Ask around NY.

Find a good metal fabrication shop and have them whip up the cheapest (price not quality!) thing they can!

For example...

Yeah, I'll do it as soon as I get a truck. Looks there's no factory made stuff like this for 01-03 models... :frown:

WOW! Looks so clean... But it covers half of the radiator. Doesn't it create any problems? I think it can be a problem here in NY during the summer heat...

There you have a hitch receiver. Is it custom built or factory made? If it's factory made, where did you buy it?

BTW where your plates go now? Here in NY you required to have both rear and front plates. :rotfl

Thanks.

Dont be such a girl with legalities, thats a very slick way to hide the winch but have it in a very functional spot

Well man you don't know NY cops :chuckle: I think my 3 PBA cards will save me from such a small thing when I'm around the car. When I'm not and it's parked somewhere in a crowded place, the cops will be just happy to give me a ticket. :rotfl
Believe it or not. In 8 years of driving in NY (and 2 years in another country), I didn't get a single ticket (Hey, is it bad or what? :poke:) even though damn insurance companies are still considering me as a "young (careless) driver"... :gotme
