I'm changing my front main seal, my timing cover is not coming off. i've used everything and anything possible to try and get this off. i was wondering if there is any way to remove the Oil Pickup assembly without dropping the aluminium oil pan or is dropping the pan not an option because my crossmember isn't exactly that easy to get off the car.

thanks again guys.

Are you talking about the oil pick up or the oil pump itself? I know the pick up can be removed after removing the steel pan and the baffle plate, but in order to get the timing cover the aluminum pan must be removed. The bottom of the oil pump won't clear enough space to remove the cover.
