alright it seems that i can't get the front lower control arm off.

right now it's dangling from the part that connects to the rotor

anyone plz help, i've gone through this forum searching for front lower control arm but it seems that no one is giving enough detail to get this arm off.

what i've found is something to do with hitting the arm by the side to release the ball joint, another one said to remove the rotor first to get the arm off, the other one said to use a c-clamp, another one took it to a mechanic so it wasn't much of a help.

sounds like it might be your lower ball joint, u'll need a ball joint seperator (u can either get one from an autoparts store or tool place, or rent one from an autoparts store) ...its also known as a pickle fork... u just hit that to seperate the ball joint.

Yep, you need a ball joint seperator. You just wedge it in between the lower control arm, and the spindle, and bang the crap out of it with a hammer. Sometimes you'll feel like you're going to brake something, but it will come out. Just make sure you remove that lower ball joint nut first.

Or, you can hit the spindle while applying a small amount of force to the ball joint. If you are replacing the ball joint just whack the top of the ball joint.
