I noticed a clicking noise from my front end when coming to a stop and thought it was maybe the cv joint in one of the axles.
I removed the locking hubs from both sides and ,...noise gone!
Need need cv axles I guess. I’ve left the hubs off and noticed my QX is smoother overall.
They been off for months now and no problems. Put them back on for some off roading and everything is working fine!
Saving wear and tear on front drivetrain.
Had a very noticeable shake/vibration at 80 Kim’s/hr and couldn’t isolate it until I removed front propeller shaft and the vibration is gone completely!
I haven’t had a smoother ride in a long time!
One of the u-joints is really worn and binding so they need a change,..QX has 392000 Km’s on it.
Ir you have a weird vibration issue, maybe try removing these items and see if it is some where in front drive train.
Now driving everyday with hubs and front propeller shaft removed and no shake or vibration issues at all!
