Halogen bulbs (like those used in most cars) have approximately 3300K color temperature. But this is just a measure of color... lower numbers meaning more yellow/red and higher temperatures are more blue. Light temperature is especially important in photography, film, etc as it effects colors.
Light output on the other hand is measured in lumens. And it's a measure of of lighting 'power' as perceived by the human eye.
I know I've ranted about this before, but I have never been a fan of putting aftermarket HID lamps into the stock halogen housings. The optics/reflectors needed for HID are completely different. The beam pattern you get with an HID light source and halogen reflector will never be as good as a true HID lighting system. A few of the more entrepreneurial members here (Leo2005) have went through the trouble to do it the right way... and buy OEM Rogue HID lamp housings:
