is it possible to swap the front end (basically hood, bumper, and lights) of a 96 to a 91 without having to do a lot of maodding?

Reason I ask is because my uncles 96 got smack hard from behind and is totalled in a short word, but would be interested in buying it from him for swapping somethings out if possible.

Also considering the interior because his is black to my tan. Maybe figuring out something with the springs and shocks too!

anyone?

I know the fenders would need to be swapped as well. Not sure how you would get the door molding to match. Interior swap should be easier...

I thnk the wiring harnes for the seat may be different.

Never understood why heavier springs were not installed on the later cars.

The hood and lights will definitely need some modifications. The grille sort of changes the entire front. I don't even think that the 96 hood will latch on the 91.

As Maxnix said, the seat connectors are different. So your power seating may not work, unless you're handy with that sort of stuff and you splice the old connector onto the new seat.

I worked with a guy who drove a 90-93 with seats from a 94. I don't know how he did it, but I saw it. 94-96 seats in the belt buckle car. Looked kinda cool.

I talked to Wes about it when I first got my Q. I had wanted to swap my seats for a 94-96 so I could have the heated seats. Wes talked me out of it and told me that the 90-93 seats were more comfortable. I've never compared the two so I took his word for it.

I like the 90-93 interior myself. I guess it's like the grass is greener on the other side.

I just really want a stronger front end look.

Interior was just a second option...
