Ok...the other day the pavement was wet and I decided to give the tires a bit of a spin. Don't usually do that. The light turned green and I tromped on the gas. The tires started spinning...I backed off the gas just enough to keep the spinning happening. Suddenly there was a shudder from the right front...like the tire was bouncing or something. I immediately let off the gas and it stopped. I haven't noticed any real issuses since then...but I havent driven much either. Is it possible I did damage...bent something or some other issue I should be worried about?

probably not, my tires spin all the time on wet ground when I go through puddles just due to the fact that these tires are $4itty, and nothing has been different to me.

No, not true. I've driven through plenty of puddles and in lots of rainy weather in the 22,500 miles I've put on my V since September. I've never spun the tires once. They may not be top-of-the-line tires, but if you drive safely, you won't have a problem. It's certainly not "just due" to the tires that your tires spin!

His comment maybe true. Driving styles may differ. If he drives more aggressively, then the tires will tend to slip in wet conditions where a different tire may not. The best most expensive tires to some, could be crap to others. Driving style, vehicle, conditions all determine if a tire could be considered well designed for the driver. So in the long run it ends up being a matter of opinion.

I'm fairly agressive with my V (still get into the 30mpg range <3) and I've spun my tires quite a few times, typically off the line at a light, when my tires are sitting on the paint line that goes across the road, that thing gets slick!

Otherwise this thing handles much better than my old 200sx.

And what you both say confirms what I was saying. The original comment was that his tires spin "all the time", "just due to the fact that these tires are $4itty". It's because he's an agressive driver, not "just" because of the tires. If they spun "all the time" for all of us, then he could blame the tires.

My tires spin now just as much as they probably will when I get my Pirellis.
