I think i already know the answer to this but i need some replys to re assure me.. i constantly question a problem when it comes to cars.. this should be simple though.

yesterday i found myself with a flat tire.. so i do what i always to to fix a tire for 2 days till i get a new one.. used a can of fix-a-flat on it and aired it up back to where it needs to be.. Now i was just driving down the road and at about 50 mph i get horrable front end shake.. i believe that the fix a flat just seriously unbalenced my tire. actually i know thats what it is.. but when its shakeing and viberating it stops when i hit the brakes..even lightly.

its just the nasty fix a flat in my tire causing this ..right?

ok think about this for a second.. why would hitting the brakes make it stop if the reason it's shaking is because the tire is unbalanced?

It's probably just out out balance due to the fix-a-flat stuff. Try using a plug kit instead of the fix a flat stuff. You can get a plug kit (with like 4 plugs) from an auto parts place for about 5 bucks. If your tire/wheel is out of balance it will only vibrate/shake at certain speeds.

If your planning to fix that tire, make sure you tell the whoever you get to fix it that theres fix a flat in it. It would suck *** to take the tire off the rim and find that **** all over the place.

if you know your tire is good then move on to the tierod end if it is bent then it will shake.

easyst way to put you into the drivers seat.. picture this.

Driving 40 mph.. flat road.. every 4 seconds your steering wheel has a slight wobble, then it stops.. Repeat.

at faster speeds .. it occurs stronger and faster.. i have not been above 60 yet so i dont know if it changes.. i will find out tomorrow.

Could be a problem with your C.V. axel.

How's the tread on all your tires? Is it pretty even? If not, that could be a reason for the shaking. Also, try rotating your tires and see if the vibration and shaking is still coming from the same place. Try having all your tires/wheels balanced, because it won't do you any good to have one balanced and the other three out. Also, I agree with the above post to check your tie rod to make sure it's not bent. Trying to help ya by starting ith the cheapest stuff first....
