So my front end has started making this slight noise...a light thud..whenever it weights or unweights. It is most noticeable when I'm changing elevation in a parking garage. But sometimes I notice it when I'm accelerating. I could just ignore it, but I suspect it will only get worse over time. On here I have read issues of front end strut (?) problems..or something in the front end with a bad/cheap bolt. Any ideas??

My 2009 G37X has 91,000.

That was a familiar description of a strut that is gone bad. Check to see if there is any hydraulic fluid that has leak out of the strut rod seal. Even if there is none, the internal strut workings may still be worn out. The strut rod moves in and out of the strut body with a constant resistance. When the hydraulics wear out there is often thud-like sound when the rod sees no resistance for a moment and moves unrestricted in or out for a short length of its stroke. When it then sees resistance, a thud-like sound is heard. At 91K miles, the struts are probably due for replacement.
