front end "clank" sound.. yeah Clank not clunk

Hey everyone,

I have 2001 Nissan Pathfinder and when I hit sharp bumps on the driver side i get a clunk sound but really its more of a clank sound. its not every time but does happen often I just replaced the ball joints and sway bar links but it is still happening and like I said it is not that typical "clunk" sound you get from bad ball joints and such.

I am thinking either its the strut or the strut mounts since the sound is a little more high pitch and sounds like it is coming from a higher position on the vehicle what do you think?
