What would cause my front end and steering wheel to shake between 38-42 mph? i have brand new rotors and pads along with a brand new set of goodyears on my car. the car drives fine up to 38 mph and after 43 mph, but when the speed limit is 40, it gets kinda annoying. applying the brakes does stop the shaking if that means anything.

Alignment doesn't contribute to shaking as much as balancing. I had the same problem with my wheel shaking at certain revolutions, took it in and had it balanced and it quickly solved the problem. Chances are you need your new tires balanced if they had not done that when you had them installed.

Would a bent wheel cause the shake? Perhaps the bushings? Wheel balance is a must. I'm having the same problem around the 50mph area and although I have balance and alignment done, I still experience the shake. I think its due to the bushings being worn out and one of my rear wheel is bent.

How are your T/C rods? Check the bushings, if goo is coming out, that's why you are getting a vibration. Keep in mind, tires/wheels need to be balanced ever 3,000 miles or so (or every oil change rather)

Guys and gals, keep in mind that a speed-specific vibration problem, meaning that it comes and goes with certain speeds, is (9 times out of 10) a balance related issue.

As stated, your front end components from sway bar end links to rack bushings, to TC bushes, should all be in tip top shape before being overlooked.

T/C rods, bushing, everything needs to be changed, the car is still driving on 13 years old subframe, so no wonder everything rattles I see that RS*R has a new bushing set for the S13, any opinions? What other brand would you recommend?
