I normally do all the work on my 02 Maxima myself. Recently I have been having a lot of noises from my front right outer CV Joint and from what I understand it is much more convienient to replace the entire axle assembly rather than take the damn thing apart.

As I dont really have time to do it myself, I took it to my local nissan dealer and they told me that because my car was lowered so much, the axle would not fit, i would have to get it cut and balanced specifically for my car.

i think they are full of ****, people lower cars all the time. even lower than mine, i think they somehow messed up on their end and did not want to admit it.

anyone ever heard of axle fitment problems after lowering???

02 Maxima 6spdK-Sport Coilovers dropped about 3 or 4 inches

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Sounds to me like the wrong axle.
