I bought a 1993 Nissan 240sx SE. I found out it has front crossmember damage. Bent really bad. I was wondering how hard the front crossmember would be to replace, I found out it isn't that expensive(I found 1 for $250). Would this be something to try on my own or have a shop do it for me? If so, does anybody know the basics of how to replace it? THANKS HAVE A NICE! FINALLY GOT A 240

You can do it yourself if you have the proper tools. If you have an engine support in order to keep the engine supported while the cross member is out. If not, I would definitely suggest taking it to a shop. You will also have to have the car aligned thereafter because you'll have changed the front end geometry.

Alright Thanks. Would a engine hoist work to hold the engine up when I am doing this? or would it be easier to just pull the whole engine out since I am going to be using a engine hoist?

A hoist should work just fine as long as you make sure you have it supported properly and the bolts you're using are strong enough.
