Hi I'm semi new here,,trying to figure this sight out,,,,post pics and such
But here's my deal I have a 91q45a and I love it and take care of it when needed
I just had the front crank seal replaced well done,,,,,how ever the process of disconnecting the hoses to the hydrolics might have left some air in the active system and the mechanic said the suspention light is on and it should go off in a week or so how ever my suspention won't go up or down.....the claim was that air got into the lines and that the air would work its way out,,,,I would assume a system would have a way of bleeding it!!!!!!
My car was takin into the infinity dealer they used there diagnostic equipment and say the hydrolic pump needs a replacement or to be re built,,,,
So did my mechanic pouch my system or the rotary pump or more
This would all be a shame but god damn I love this car

I don't think on an active car you have to disconnect any of the hydraulic lines to redo the crank seal. You just have to take the belts off..

Since the suspension light is on, you check do the self-diagnosis to see what the computer think is the issue...

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/fa.pdf .... Start on page FA-65

One thing that I could think of is that if the light is on perhaps just the fluid is low?

I would be *very* cautious about allowing someone to work on the active system of the car.. I would say 95% of dealers and mechanics have no idea how the system works and probably should not be trusted.

So I have talked to the mechanic and he tells me he had to take off the hose to the reservoir of the active suspension pump to get to the front crank seal.He says the car is in safe mode and can still be driven. But I feel it's unsafe to do so cause it makes very loud noises especially over bumps and I can't take it to places I did before especially with my low ride bumper, which he tells me to take off.. They say it not their fault and are willing to go half way with me. They won't charge for the labour to fix it but I have to buy the part. I feel this is not any of my responsibility. Looking for info on where I can get help via Japanese infinity dealer ships that know this kind of car or any professional advice.

Sounds like they just need to bleed the air out of the system and replace the air with fluid in the reservoir.
