I searched, and was unsuccesful at answering my question...

I'm replacing the timing chain on the crank (DE), and I'm unsuccesful at removing the lower cover. all bolts and both hoses are out, oil pan off, but the cover seems to be stuck. I've got it free by about 1/4" all the way around then it hangs up.

Is there something I'm forgetting? Thanks

I am assuming you removed the front two bolts on the oil pan, that connect the to lower front cover. It could be the oil pump and pickup is preventing the cover from coming forward enough for the cover to clear the chain. You may have to remove the oil pan.
