One good thing about a front clip is that you get every part needed for the swap including radiator and stock intercooler. Another is that the oil pan is protected and will, most likely, not be damaged during shipping. If/when I do the swap, I will not be getting a front clip because I will not need the stock intercooler, radiator, or oil pan since I will be upgrading them before they go into the car. The extra cost for a clip just wouldn't be worth it for me. If you are just looking to get the SR in and running mostly hassle free, the clip will make the job easier. Hope this helps...

Well, i wasn't planning on doing the swap itsef. A local reputable shop was going to take on the swap so the difficulty isn't an issue. I was just considering the front clips because of the looks...How much different does it look then the us spec? And are the headlights like those nice silvia s13 ones or are they the same ones that we got? thanks again.....P.S: forgive me if somethings don't make sense or if they sound foolish...I'm still kind of new to the whole nissan scene..-james

Ok, I think you are talking about putting the S13 headlights, front bumper, fenders and hood from the J-spec slivia on the US 240SX. I think it would be pretty rare to find a front clip that includes body panels, head lights and all of that stuff. I believe you can purchase this conversion for about 2500. This does not include the motor though. My personal preference is the J-spec front end conversion on the 240SX couple models. If you have a hatchback 240 I think the pop up style head lights look best.

i'm paying $2,600 for an S13 front clip with a blacktop. mileage is around 60,000mi. delivery is from CA. $400 on top of the price!...the guy who's working on my swap always deals with this company (neishlinmotors.com). i'm starting to think i'm not getting a very good deal. oh well, it's still an SR20DET. :(

Courtesy of King Clem, I'm sure he won't mind. This is a 240SX with a Silvia Conversion.

I don't do front clips, just complete motorsets, but they aren't too much of a head ache. : )

No, thats a conversion, 99.9999999999999999999999% of front clips don't come with body panels.

The pic shows the conversion, the front clip has (and it sounds deceptive) the car from the A pillar foward. Most times however it does not come with body panels or headlights. Some companies when you get the front clip, you might get some damaged bodywork, but you never get the hood. If you want to do the S13 Front end conversion, you need the J-spec (or JDM, it's the same thing) headlights, hood, fenders, and front bumper. If you go to sportcompactcarweb.com and search for project silvia you can see what the S13 silvia front end conversion looks like. And yes with a front end conversion kit should come the headlights, hood, fenders, and bumper. Hope this helps ya Chris
