To get strait down to it I wana do a Sileighty conversion including of course the s13 SR20DET. What is gona be the best way (considering i'm not full of money) to do this?? I've been looking around the web alot and its seems front clips usually just mean the engine bay full of everything and not really the front fenders bumper and all that stuff in good condition. Dauntt on After-Dark (our most holy Demi-god)has the s13 front conversion kit and SR20's so is that the best way to do it? buy the engine and buy the kit. Or try and find a front clip thats good ( if thats even realistic)

I want to paint but i dont wana have to order replacement bumper and fenders when i'm paying more for a front clip.

Ok i'm shutting up, I'll let u guys gime some feedback.

most of the time front clips do not come with the body panels, or if they do come with the body panels they are usually pretty messed up. They hardly ever come with lights. Sometimes you can get lucky, but for the most part, don't bet on it.

Buy the engine and either buy the front end conversion (which i would recommend) or try to buy pieces of the conversion one at a time from places like Jspec and possibly save a little money. I doubt you would save much if anything buying piece by piece but if you want to then go for it.

Its true about the body panels and lights on the clips. I just got one about a month ago. Its a 95 model front clip with the S14 Blacktop SR. It came with the hood and fenders but they were beat up. No bumper or lights. But EVERYTHING else that I needed was there. I would buy the clip man. Its the best way to go and to make sure that you don't have to buy some other parts just to finish your SR swap. Buy the front end conv. that you need but if you want an SR just get the clip you need. Its worth it and in the long run you save money. Whatever you don't need you can sell. I am!! If you know anyone that needs some SR parts then hit me up.

Good luckbrent

A 89-93 240 fastback DOHC is a SR20 am I correct? A friend said that with that engine in there now i can swap out that and put a SR20DET and not waste money on a clip cause alot of the parts are the same. is that true? I dont have the car yet but i should soon. btw i hate pop up lights and i dont want to pay over 1000 for the inserts to make them different. Rather just be crazy cool looking with a sileighty.

But which way is better? I am NOT going to do it myself. I guess thats a factor. I might get friends of a friend or a shop but i just dont know enough or have the tools.

A engine isnt gona come with the intercooler and such is it? but the clip would right? dang..questions questions.. I should get on a phone with someone who's done this. yeesh!
