I got my hands on some adjustable pillowball mount and tried to intall them on my s14 with gr-2's and it didnt work out. the plate is like almost 2 inches shorter than the stock upper mounts so it sits inside the spring perch not allowing it to fit right, basically the perch hits the car suspension mount before the plates does. If i put an inch spacer on the bottom so it is high enought to clear the perch the shocks rod coming out the top of the strut is not long enough for the nut to grab so that doesnt work either. If the treaded part on top of the strut was a little longer i wouldnt have any problems, is there shocks with a longer threaded section? Can the fawkers even work on a stock spring perch?

What kind of camber plates are they? Some will work with OE struts (such as the Tein mounts) and some won't. I believe some camber plates come with a spacer to solve the problem I *think* you're describing. Did you get these used?

they are d2 plates, a friend gave them to me new. It has spacers and it sits high enought to clear the perch but then there isnt enough thread to put the main bolt on the shock, the stock upper mount is inverted alot at the place the nut goes in and is high on teh sides so it will hit the suspension mount and not the perch, thats why i was wondering if any shocks have a longer threaded section on top becasye that would solve the problem.
