Front Bumper

Question - I had a rock hit my bumper but only took out the right fog ligh assembly. I am being told by my dealer in Delaware that I must purchase an entire new bumper (unpainted) and then have the body shop paint the bumper.

I find this a tad overkill since the fog light assemble is not molded into the bumperand is a seperatye item.

Ca this be true?

They are trying to pull one on you. If the fog light is the only part damaged that's all you need. There is no way you would need a new bumper, pics?

This sounds dumb to me. If the fog light is the only thing damaged, then that's the only thing that needs to be replaced. Pics would definitely help out to see exactly what's damaged on your bumper area.

I'm unfamiliar with the 4th gen setup but I wonder if the mounting tabs for the fog light were broken.

This. If the rock knocked the fog light off the bumper and the light took the mounting tab (on my Coupe, it's just one... don't know how the 2010+ is set up) with it, it might actually be necessary to replace the whole bumper.
