Front Bumper? Cover? Or?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I own a 2008 EX35 Journey AWD, black color - today I dented my front bumper on a snow bank. It is the right left side. The thin trim around the left wheel well cracked as well, but I'm not too worried about that.

My main question is, do I just need a "front bumper cover" to replace it? Or do I need a different part, or other parts? First time ever having any body damage to the vehicle and would like to purchase replacement parts online rather than letting a body shop shoot 3-pointers on me all day.

Also, any help in finding these parts online would be great!

Thanks all in advance!

If it does not work, go to paintless dent removal senrvice or PDR. This is way cheaper than replacing the whole bumper cover if paint is not damaged. I had great experienced with PDR service result and only paid $125. I am a believer!

Do you have a pic of the dented bumper cover?

Here is a picture of my Honda Pilot with a big dent on the hood.

Before PDR.

Here is the picture after PDR. ( he just used a tool to masssage the back of the dent)

I also had a Honda CRV that got HIT and Run in our parking lot. Someone backup and hit my passenger side door. Almost half of the door were damage, but freakin PDR fixed it for $200 and when I returned the car to the dealership after 3 years (lease car) no one even noticed it! :naughty:

Definitely agree...try the PDR first if there was no paint damage. It's worked for me in the past also with a nasty dent in the hood after someone used it for a park bench

I have taken plastic bumpers off my wife's RX and my son's old CRV due to bumper dents and did a respectable job of removing them. You might be able to fix it yourself with some heat and elbow grease.

Thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it. Here is a little more info:

The plastic on the lower left front end is pushed it. It's a bubble shaped dent in the plastic about the size of a softball. It literally looks as though you can just pop it out, it's a clean bubble without a crease. However, it doesn't just pop back out easily. It's a tough material.

Dont try to pop it back out without, as the XIS says, heat. If you do it will crack and you'll be left with nice hole.
Do a utube search. Some have used a hairdry to do the job. Heat the plastic till it becomes soft enough to mold
back into shape. GL.
