How quick is quick? Would be easier for us to help if you include the mileage between brake jobs. It may be normal for all we know.(P.S. Ditch the CAPS...thanks)

Are you using your e-brake every time you park? Nissan likes to use the e-brake to keep the rear drums calibrated. I smoked a set of pads in 4 months before I learned that was required. Check your Owner's Manual

I havent done any drum service in the entire 140k on my QX4. I couldnt even get the drums off to take a look, took to my mechanic in North Park, even he had trouble taking the drums off (350 lb guy with a large mallet) turns out the shoes scorched some nice deep grooves into the drum making it almost impossible to remove and i have to get both sides machined! The new Brembos look great up front, ill have to post a picture!

Yes same with me except luckily I read it from places like here so I didnt have to earn the hard way.I noticed after doing brakes that the rear never get really tight and it seemed to me the front does the majority (as in more than usual majority) of the stopping. So I clicked the adjusters a few clicks extra and it seemed to brake better. But I don't know about if this is a bad idea. They did not drag at all doing this. Also the pedal would go down fairly far when I first got this truck. And after bleed and new pads/shoes, it still felt lower than I like. This helped that.Maybe the rears don't do much?
