Was attempting to do my front brakes yesterday, just since I had some vibration on heavy brakingand Ive never done them on this vehicle before.

So I got 4 pads 2 rotors. got the tires off, calipers out of the way no problem, then Ive never seen the hub that sits overtop of the rotor, bolted in by 6 14mm bolts. I unbolted that but it wouldnt come loose no matter which way I pryed pulled or smacked. Is that how you get the rotor off?

nope the 6 smaller inner bolts have to come off, (thats the hub),the dust cap comes off, then there are 2 screws that hold the wheel bearing lock washer in place. take those screws out, take the lock washer and nut off and then the rotor should come off with the wheel bearing.

wheel bearing is PRESSED into the rotor? Oh wow that horrible

I assumed there was nothing under the dust cap but an axle nut or such. Dam I guess I was way wrong on being able to do my own front brakes lol

well **** i tried to do it in the snowfall thinking it would be a standard caliper comes off, rotors pops off deadl like my hondas are. ever knew the didbrakes like this.

I did just the 4 front pads, and the vibration is minimal to none now, they were pretty warn down with some descent scoring.
