I have a 95Q standard. I replaced the front pads on Saturday and noticed there was no wiring, that I could find, for the pad wear indicator on either wheel. Was this a standard option on these cars.

It's on the RF & RR of every Q (1st generation anyway). Somebody must have eliminated the sensor after it wore through previously by joining the 2 wires together and securing back out of the way. The sensor has to be bought separately for the front, but comes with the rear pads (OEM & good quality non-OEM [Nissin, I believe]).

95 and 96 deleted electronic brake sensors to reduce cost.

Sensors do come with the front pads but not the rear pads. This was from an Elk Grove Nissan dealer anyway. The moron gave me the wrong pads twice.

Maybe the third time also. There is a part number for the later G50 that does not include the the sensors. And they cost less.

Gotta love Joe.
