These 2 upgrades are almost identical, but I like the R32 option a bit more for the thicker rotors. There's a R32 front calipers deal that I'm considering, so I'd like to know some extra info before I throw my cash in.

1. Is the brake hardware (pins, shims, seals, pistons, etc) the same on r32 and z32 calipers? (this is for rebuilding possibility)2. Same brake pads?3. What type of brake line fitting is on the r32?4. Any comment on a r32 front, z32 rear, z32 MC setup?

Thanks for all of your input.

The R32GTR and Z32 calipers are nowhere near the same. The GTR Calipers are iron and much beefier, and accommodate a much larger rotor than the Z32 setup.

The Z32 and R32 GTS-t setups are identical. The calipers I have on my car now are actually R32 GTS-t calipers, and they use the same rotor and have the same offset as the Z32 calipers. The R32 calipers are aluminum as well.

Oh I didn't know the gt-r calipers are iron. That's gonna affect my decision a bit then. THanks.

Now I'm confused. CourtesyParts says gt-r calipers are aluminum http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...brake

I'm not sure about the aluminum vs iron, but I will say the thicker 32mm rotors are harder to find at a good price. Yes, they are sold by many Nissan performance sites, but they are expensive! Z32 rotors are available from many sources, from e-tailers to local auto parts stores...

Definitely easier with z32! And i guess gt-r front might be strong enough to cause a brake balance problem.
