So, I am hoping that someone could help point me in the right direction as to where it may be leaking. I can't pinpoint the spot 100%, research shows that it might be the front diff at the axle tube seal. A number of Titan owners seem to be having the same issue, but I don't know if the Pathfinder shares the drivetrain components. I have included a picture below of where the oil *appears* to be coming from, but again, because there isn't a lot of leakage and it seems to be spreading out, it has been difficult to pin down the exact location. I have gone through the axle and transfer case portions of the factory service manual and can't find exactly what I have included in the picture, though I don't know what all the parts are called and it can be difficult to understand what you are looking at in the diagrams.
I am reasonably mechanically inclined and could probably tackle the repair myself if it's not too involved, I am just having trouble getting started.
This picture is the best that I could get, I was lying under the middle of the vehicle, looking to the right. On the other side of the tube and bracket thing is the CV boot. The leak seems to be coming from somewhere in the area that I have outlined in red.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!!
