Hello there everyone.I have a couple of simple questions I would like to ask you.

1. Can the front axle of a 4wd Skyline be used without the engine attached to it?

2. Is there a difference amongst front diffs in the various models of Skyline?

Thankyou

Wha?

1. The front diff is part of the oil pan so I would say "no".

2. Not really.

What are you up to? I don't ask weird questions like that unless I am trying something goofy.

It could be done but you would need a pretty good machine shop at your disposal for it to be anywhere close to worth it.

I want to know what you are up to too, I've been down a similar road and am wondering what your plan is.

As TMS said, the front diff of a GT-R/GTS4 is attached to the oil pan with one of the axle shafts going through the oil pan.

Unless you can find some way of mating the diff to the oil pan of the VK56, it won't work.
