Hello all,

It probably already has been asked but I will will start a fresh thread.

I am looking for new struts front and rear, and new front springs for my '96 J-30. No one has them in Maine. I have been reading other posts that say that I will also need to replace the ABS equipment. It does not stop there. All of my brake hoses are heavily rusted.

I am beginning to think I will spend thousands trying to get this car back on the road. Doe anyone have a list of suppliers who may be able to help me locate parts at a reasonable price?

I am really worried that I will never get this great car going again.

Ralph

Welcome to NICO!!!

There is very little aftermarket for the J. Your only option is Infiniti dealers (or for used our NICO classified's section and ebay) and parts are expensive.

Having said that, your best place to get deals on genuine parts is everythinginfiniti like Yoda suggests. Prices are better than your local Infiniti store.

You have to make a decision now as to how much you are willing to spend repairing your car compared to what its market value is, both in its present condition and after you do the repairs before you start pouring money into it. If you can get hold of a wrecked parts car cheap you could use it as a hanger queen for salvaging parts. But since your car is rusted out probably anything you could find locally would be rusted out too. You might find it would be better to put the repair money into a car in better condition and part out or sell your present car as is. As far as shocks go, anything you got used might not be any better than what you have on the car now unless you can verify they are still good.

Thank you all for the replies. Yes, it looks as though I may have to cut my losses on this one.

Well, then...I am in the market for a J30 in reasonable shape. I love them and will start saving for one.

Amen to that. J30 forever! I'll be driving mine until I DIE.
