my hatch came with both, with the rb swap the brace wont clear and the rear just looks kinda stupid, i like my full clean interiors. this is more of a daily driver type question of do i need these? i was going to use the front strut brace for my 95, but then again, is the difference minimal for a daily driver car? id rather sell these and use the money for something benifical, if they arent really worth a damn.

no, they are not. I think on tein's website they have a section dedicated to strutbars and their purpose, but on a day to day driver.... not really.

The rear of the car doesn't even use struts so the rear "brace" is essentially useless. The only forces on those towers are vertical forces from the car's weight and bumps, so bracing them better against the unibody would be more beneficial than just joining them together.

The front brace can provide marginal benefit if it is also tied into the firewall or whatever.

Otherwise, do it for looks.

They do something if they are designed properly, unfortunately there are very few that are.

They do something.

I have done before/after drives with the bars on and off. They make a difference.

However, for a daily style car, no you don't need them. You don't need ANY aftermarket parts actually.

why do you bump a thread that you havent put any input into.

like everyone says a proper strut bar will make the car more rigid. a poorly designd one wont do much but weill help. for a daily driver they are completly unneccesary

interesting... i couldnt understand a word they said :P

i see how they work with decent suspension, the coilovers that came with the car are very harsh and ebayish, i wonder if having this bar actually saved my chassis from twisting because of a cheap coilover setup?
