I had white ones in there, but one failed, so I switched to
Amber.

Any car I get with a front plate bracket that was already bolted
to the car, I remove the bracket and put LEDs in the holes. PA
is not a two plate state.

That's a great idea. I'll suggest that to Used Car next time some customer b!tc#es that they don't want the plate holder but don't want holes either.

I used those eagle-eyes on the wife's Altie but in a different spot, wired to the fuel pump fuse so they're only on with the engine running:

I initially used 5W but they seem to all have insufficient heat sinking. The 3W versions don't fail constantly and are still plenty bright. From rude experience I can tell you they all have poor lens seals, coating them with a circuit board sealer like this before installation will keep them healthy for a long time:
