hi,i just signed up about a week ago and have yet to post. so here it goes.

the ca18det is not a enigne easliy found here in the states, all are imported from japan for the most part. im not sure i have ever seen a nissan with a factory ca18 of any configeration here. info is even haded to find. no one knows anything about nissans to beigin with and knoldege of the ca just dosent exsist. hence the apeal to me.

i just recently bought a 69 roadster with a ragged out r16. i have been looking at my options for a transplant and think that ka is to tall and the sr to expensive, but the ca has fallen into my sight. small strurdy powerful motor that it is. one huge probem, i cant ffind any parts for it. hell i cant even find an engine accept for ebay. i want at lest 220rwhp in this car. i want to take a shelby cobra and feed it some dust. if any one can help me out with finding parts for a complete swap and give me any tips on what they have seen tried and proven to get this girl running like a snake, please hit me back with some info.stevecharlotte nc

I dont want to be the typical *** hole and say yadda yadda "red search button up at the top of the page, use it" yadda yadda. So im not going to be....

2 Sources of USDM ca parts can be found from the ca18et, and the ca18de(found in the 200sx and pulsar.) The interchangable parts list can be found in the FAQ section located here (along with tons of other useful information): zerothread/136061

220 rwhp is easily attainable with some basic upgrades. (injectors, turbo, exhaust, intake)

Some good places to get complete engine sets are:

The S12 200sx w/the CA18E(T) is RWD. The CA18DE in the Pulsar is FWD.
