From HUD To Analog
I have a 91 w/ HUD and I want to put in my JDM cluster. I have a CA, so no need to swap speed sensors. I have the subharness and I tried just plugging that into the connector for the dash harness. Didn't work. Do I need to splice the connector from the HUD to the analog clusters sub harness so that all the wires match color across the connector? Any ideas?
what ? im a bit confused, but ill explain how i did my digital > analog swap.
took out the digital, unplugged the three connectors in back of the cluster, then followed it back to TWO MORE plugs. one white and one black (which is a PITA bc i had to take off the dash). unplug those two then you have a digital harness.
now go back and plug in your analog harness, black to the furthest i believe, then the white. now plug the other three harnesses in the back of the analog cluster.
if that doesnt make sense or need pictures ill take some. i have some spare clusters laying around.
