from HUD digital sppedo to analog sppedo

I have a 89 s13 that had hud. I replaced the HUD cluster with an analog cluster. I am not sure what year the analog cluster is, however the speedo does not function. The analog cluster came with the harness attached and I used it. All the lights in the cluster, temp & fuel guages work. Is there a way to test the speed sensor? The speed sensor is plugged in! Thanks.

You can tell the difference on the cluster by looking at the RPM redline....If you have the wrong engine type cluster in your car is not going to work....
