Came across a 95 240sx se on craigslist the other day. after looking for a good four months for a 95-98. Ended up going to take a look at it, and now I'm picking it up in two days. The ad said it was pretty much stock with a recently converted manual transmission (ka) and infinity g35 rims. Being that I dont know much about cars because I'm just starting to get into them, I brought two friends that have a pretty good grip on 240s with me to test drive it. When we got there we noticed it had front Z brakes, different rear control arms, and the engine and transmission ran better than any 240 my friend has ever driven, with 73,000 miles on the engine. The car has paint peel all over the front bumper, and a few dings here and there, but there are none on the rear QPs/roof/doors. Floor carpet is ripped a bit on the drivers side, dashboard has a few cracks in it and the leather for the shifter isnt there. I ended up settling on $3,800 for the vehicle, and have some big plans for it :) wish me luck!

so far cosmetic wise I want some 18 rota grids on it, painting the car a grey color in the future and im thinking about converting it kouki, being as that is what I wanted from the start. I like the look of the zenkis but the aggressive look of the koukis im in love with :) Like I said though im just getting into cars and Ive heard a lot of bad s*** about aftermarket body kits when it comes to body work/prep and lighting housing etc so Ill probably just end up going with a JDM front/rear bumper /sideskirts and do more research for lighting (hense why im here, to learn :). Engine stuff will be down the road, being as it's the most expensive and living in california makes it a pain in the a**. My uncle restores classics like no ones business so Ill be painting it with him along with doing some powdercoat work because we have all the materials to do it ourselves and get a great finish out of it. Ill add other things as they come to me :) color scheme as of now is going to be a Evo10 grey with some cobalt teal accent colors on other things like seats/mirrors/etc

:weak: dude work on your stance before you do body work (besideds needed repair) if you dont do engine work, do some coils, camber kit, adj tension rods, and some rota's like u said.... you wont regret it

The car is already sitting pretty low, with the back wheels cambered and the rear control arms have been changed out. Im not sure what else has been done to the suspension, but it will all come in due time. What I listed is all off the top of my head is what I want to see done to the car within a short period of time. My friends will be giving me pointers and working on it with me, im not too worried. thanks for the advice :) Im strongly into art so the way things look for me is a biggie, not even to show them off or anything just for personal satisfaction.

The paint is in worse condition than what it looks like in the pics, the left fender is sun worn and its got paint peel on the front. but yeah Im happy with it :) Im going to rebuild the center console i think out of metal and powdercoat it, but that might be a ways down the road. and it will most likely be a shade or two different from yours fiznowler, im going to be playing the color off of a cobalt greenish type thing so depending on what shade of that i pick for other things will decide what shade of grey the majority of the body is going to be painted. But who knows, by the time i get the car in perfect running condition it may be a bit before i can afford new bumpers/clip/hood/fenders and paint and minds change. :) thanks

what year s13? ive got three friends with s13s, maybe a fourth soon if my room mate doesnt come across an s14 for cheap lol suprisingly he has a cherokee too. go figure lol

also, does anyone have any input on acrylic enamel vs base coat/clearcoat? my uncle restores his classics with acrylic and hes very good at it, and I know its a lot more work but id like some information on the differences in length each paint might last if done perfectly/color fade/ etc.

yeah I saw it shortly after I posted that haha. not too much of a fan of the pignoses but those coupes with the slvia front ends look so mean! i feel like all the american front ends dont fit them because theyre so curvey for the sharp angles on the rest of the car
