From bay are with o2 senor not needed

Hey, i went to the shop because my check engine light came on and the guys said that i needed a new o2 sensor because mine was bad, they told me that it runs for 100 bucks for the little thing. I was wondering if anyone from the bay area or maybe somewhere close so shipping is that much has a clean good o2 sensor they want to sell me.

buy a general 02 sensor and wire it yourself for half the cost

they're $33 at any auto parts store. no wiring is involved. just unhook the old one, and put the new one in.

o2 sensors are voltage sensative for nissans and buying oem from nissan is a better idea as you get what you pay for, and paying $33 from an auto parts store versus paying 100 from nissan is up to you but if doesnt correct the problem you'll be buying one from nissan. Theres a difference for a reason. I recommend becoming buddy buddy with the parts dept like I did 4 yrs ago. Just dont play grab *** and you'll be alright. You can also try cleaning yours but it probably wont work.

ive tried both the bosch and ngk o2 sensorsthey're pretty much supposed to be a part of your regular tune-upeach were around 40$cnd, and worked greati dont goto nissan unless its for something dealer specific that has to be new (ie that pillow thingy that holds up ur transmission)

haha well i got the car for only 4500 soo i cant complane, but yeah so far its been my o2 sensor and my stereo. keeps going on and off and im pretty sure its the connection but i dont know what wires. sucks.
