Frist race on rebuilt engine!

I have raced about 2 cars so fare. 99 v6 stang with 3.73 gears and LSD, and a stock Mazda MX6.

My friends stang walks on me, not to bad, and not as bad as he use to.

My other friend with the MX6, i beat him, but not by much. they run about 15.7 stock so i guess its not to bad. still not way fast, but i already figured i wouldnt be way faster, atlest not tell i go turbo.

well all that work shouldnt give u that much more hp considering it's waiting for the turbo...so not bad i guess?

u should probably run 15.3 or so?

yeah...that turbo friendly CR cant he helping the NA horsepower

I got a MX-6 (performance model. Comes with turbo and such) and they are quick. Not to surprised you beat him tho. =p

GJ btw. That would be so sweet if you could beat a stang, I hate thos cars with a passion.

Forgive me, but only the older (pre 92 I think) MX6s had a turbo engine, all the ones after that either had an NA 4 or 6 cylinder. I don't even think any US spec MX6s had a turbo engine, so if you think that you're dead wrong. Someone do some fact checking for me if I'm wrong. The six cylinders are decently quick, probably faster than a stock 240, but its FWD, cmon.

Yeah, i went and looked it all up today after my frist post. its a 2.5L v6, making about 165hp and 165lbs feet. i am pretty sure its the same engine in the ford probe v6 gt. the older mx6 and probe GTs did have a I4 turbo engine, pretty fast to. My friends mustang is OK, but he have been kicking him self for not geting the GT. stock they run low 15s and with his gears and LSD he is most likely in the high 14s. next week i am going to get it dynoed to see what it at, so i kind of have a base to work from. wish i would have goten it dynoed before i started doing stuff.

i beat a 2001 mustang v8 gt i think, on the highway in my 94 altima. . . . shouldnt a more aerodynamic car be able to do the same? or was this a drag?

Well your altima must be pretty moded and runing low 14s to beat a 01 GT mustang, it was mostly likely a v6 with GT pulloffs, so it looked like a GT. On a roll, i am pretty close to my friends mustang, but off the line he gets a good jump on me. i think that at a 60mph roll i would stay with him, and might even win getting up to 100mph, but not from a dead stop.

you lost to a v6 stang??? those are not that fast, ive beaten v6's all the time. i raced a v8 auto stang once and beat it by 1/2 car lenght.

What year mustang did you race? because there is a big difrence between 94-98 and 99-03 mustangs. a 99 v6 manual mustang can beat an auto 94-98 GT stang.
