I think its an R32 maybe R33 i forgot. But they're going to Japan to check it out they said they got it for 6k since it has 180k+ miles on the engine. There plan is to ship it over to either canada and drive it down or just straight to here(southern california) I know how hard it is so ship it to california I've heard the stories. So do you guys think it would be easier for them to ship to Canada and drive it down to here? They're all mechanics and plan to fix it up and sell it.I'll get pics if everything goes as planned

LOL just keep it in canada and sell it there, it would be stupid to bring a skyline in cali especially if its a grey market car.hope you dont get caught driving down with it, you probably just get it crushed and lose your money.and if you heard the stories, i dont know why you still would be buying a skyline and bringing into cali

My friends are the ones doing it I have nothing to do with it. I've tried to tell him its dangerous but he's confident in what he's doing. He knows alot about cars and i'm sure he knows what hes doing but ya idk lol

Actually I think they're importing an R33 and as I've read those r legal to import right?I was super excited when he told me so i dont remember if it was a 32 or 33.

R33's aren't eligible for import into canada. R32 are. And R33 are (here) if you get them federally legalized. The cars have to have dual airbags and they've gotta be changed to meet compliance. Thats just one part of the deal. Its not worth it. With the money he's using to fly to Japan and buying the car, shipping it, he could buy on here already. But he won't make a profit by just buying and selling it. Plus knowing alot about cars isn't s**t, if you don't know the laws!!! That car will get siezed.

LOL. Are your friends 17? You need to read the sticky at the top of the forum before you ask any more questions about getting a skyline stateside.

tell your friend to move to canada because that's definitely not worth it. r33/r32 is a good car but they're not road gods lol

Canada dose allow the R33 just not the GTR which started in 95 the GTS-T R33 begain production in 93. I would not risk my 6K on a car still in Japan though Sell it in canada and make some loot is what I would do.
