EDIT:

Nissan, Datsun, Infiniti Enthusiasts!

Lets try to make a decent showing of our first NicoMeet in this area!

Its on Friday the 13th at 7 pm in a sub-urb ofBaltimore.Easy to find too!

I ususally like to give people more notice than thisbut I spent a week finding a spot that would be ourfor sure.

I know its short notice ,but even if you have a datecome anyway!Cuz Dinner and a Movie, all the time, gets boring too!Something different for once!

Here is the location:http://www.mapquest.com/maps/m...pcode=

More info in this thread also:zerothread?id=114702

Its a parking lot were the Lessee has given us (NicoMembers) permission to meet.

He is a Nissan Fan too and excited to see us and willbring out his Z31 (owns like 5 nissans right now)

We can hang out for a bit, buy some of his Icees andcheck out each others cars.As an additional incentive to come, I will let somefolks, drive my 400 hp 350Z.

Please come!!!Lets make <our own> meet a success!!!

Fred..: )

PS: I may break this up into 2 seperate address liststo avoid spam filters, so if you get double emailsthats why.PS: Lester I dont have your 350Z buddy's email, makehim come too!

..-----

Options as I see them:

Friday the 13th!! NICO MEET (MD, SE PA, South NJ, DE) Where should we have it?

Or Saturday the 14th.

1) We have been offered a parking lot in a suburb of Baltomore, roomy an icecream stand nearby.

Pro's: An Urban "Hang-out", where the cops cant chase us away, becasue we have offical permission from the lesee. Roomy. Free.Cons: Nohing special to do as activity ,except get to know each other

2) One of the North MD Tracks, there is one right off Northeast , MD off route 40

Pros: We have a fun activty, more centrally located in the region then the baltimore location and makes it easier to get SE PA and NJ folks to show

Cons: With all that drag racing going on it may be hard sometimes to speak/hear. Makes it hard to hang out. Also costs money. test and tune schedule may limit us to a Fri nite meets time here.

I think we should have our first real Nico meet soon, I dont care if 5 cars or 30 cars show up.

Wherever we go I'll bring:-donuts and napkins if someone else brings a cooler with some Soda for everyone (or one guy bring the cooler + ice and another a mix of) sodas.-digital camera.-Free Nico Stickers

regardless which location we choose ,we will probaly use both venues as the meets season goes on, they are both good locations based on my research ( but I am VERY open to alternatives as well).

Lets hear some input which spot do you like better ?Or have a differnt one in mind altogether?

lets decide soon so we can put the word out with some notice.

The date is obvisouly open too, do a lot of folks prefer a Saturday meet?

Fred..

Also, in addition to what ever you's come up with for the first meet, I would like to try to have a meet a the Baltimore location on the 27 or 28 of may. I will be back from my honeymoon then and I have the whole weekend off!

hell, if you want to do that, we may as well have our Nico meet at the next autocross at Ripken on the 29th! That's easy for everyone to get to since it's RIGHT off of 95

Sky: Excellent Idea!

Here is my take lest have a meet on that parking lot on the 13th and call it the "Pre-Meet" ( so we dont have to wait so long) and the Ripken on the 29th will be the "main meet"

And then after the AutoX we can have the "Post-Meet" at a local restaurnat also on the 29th.

I will call the owner and let him know there will be some people there on the 13th. I will post if there is a problem, but that should be fine!

Sky; how long does the AutoX run? I have to be back at work that night.

There are two sessions, but when everything is said and done, 4:45ish is the end of the last session (by then cones are being picked up, there's distribution of prizes, etc) That's if everything doesn't run into overtime. There's no cost to come to the parking lot where all the cars are parked for the event, but you do have to sign a waiver before you roll in and you have to stay 75 ft away from the action. If you do want to run all the info will be at http://www.phillyscca.com. and you can pre-register for it at: http://www.myautoevents.com.

Fred: I'll be very hungry by the end of the autox, i never bring enough food for the duration of the day.

Here is a Mapquest map. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/m...code=

Veterans Highway runs right next to 97. If you come south on 97 you get off of 97 onto Rt 3, you want to turn left on 3. Get in the far right lane IMMEDIATELY as the on-ramp for Veterans Highway is at the underpass under 97.

If you come north on 97, get of onto Veterans highway. I am not sure if there is a light or if you merge onto Veterans highway. You will be within 1/4 of a mile, either way, of the parking lot though.

Terry owns a small snowball stand in the parking lot of a Beer Distributor on the North bound side of the road. The highway is not divided so there is access from both directions. Whoever arrives first, please ask where to park.

Terry is willing to let us use the parking lot as often as we like. He is a nissan enthusiast and is looking forward to many meets there.

By the way, His snow balls are the S**t, so make sure you get one. Many flavors are even named after cars and manufactures.

I don't mean to be bossy or anything(and I imagine you would have anyway), but Even though I don't think he would, you should offer to let Terry take the Z out for a spin too.
